Regular Town Board Meeting Minutes
October 14th, 2020
*5:30 p.m.*

1) Call to order. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.

Town Supervisors in attendance were: David Pope, David Gollon and Peter Vanderloo. Excused was: Kyle Levetzow. Also in attendance was Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson.

Everyone in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

2) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, Peter Vanderlo made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor, David Pope. Motion carried.

3) Approval & Payment of Invoices. David Pope made a motion to approve the payment to Kerber Rose Technology in the amount of $13,466.89 and PrintElect in the amount of $703.09. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

4) Discussion & possible action re: 2021 Budget. The Town Board reviewed and continued to work on the draft of the 2021 Budget that was prepared by Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson and Town Chairman, Curt Peterson.

5) Closed Session in accordance with Wisconsin Statue 19.85 (1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, employee hours, compensation or performance evaluation of any public employee of which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. (Compensation) David Pope made a motion to go into Closed Session in accordance with Wisconsin Statue 19.85 (1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, employee hours, compensation or performance evaluation of any public employee of which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried. Roll call: Pope, yes; Peterson, yes; and Gollon, yes.

4) Reconvene into Open Session. David Gollon made a motion to reconvene into open session. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

5) Board action as a Result of Closed Session. David Pope made a motion to increase the Clerk/Treasurer’s salary by 5.0% to $56,052.49 effective January 1st, 2021. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried. David Pope made a motion to increase the part-time patrolman wage to $24.50 effective January 1st, 2021. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried. David Pope made a motion to increase the Recycling Center Attendant wage to $13.75 effective January 1st, 2021. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried. David Pope made a motion to increase the full-time patrolman wage to $25.85 effective January 1st, 2021. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried. David Pope made a motion to increase the seasonal employee wage to $21.17 effective January 1st, 2021. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

6) Continuation of Item #4 - Discussion & possible action re: 2021 Budget. The Town Board reviewed and continued to work on the draft of the 2021 Budget that was prepared by Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson. The Town Board indicated that a public hearing would possibly be held on the 2021 Budget on Tuesday, November 11th at 5:30 p.m.

7) Public Comment. None

8) Adjournment. Peter Vanderloo made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:26 p.m. David Pope seconded the motion. Motion carried.
