Special Town Board Meeting Minutes
July 23rd, 2013
6:00 p.m.

1) Call to order. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Town Supervisors in attendance were: David Gollon, Steven Johnson, and David Blume. Also in attendance were Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson, Roger Venden and Charlie Rolli.

2) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor David Gollon made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor, Steven Johnson. Motion carried.

3) Discussion & possible action re: Driveway on E. Anderson Road. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson indicated that Town of Dodgeville currently uses Roger Venden’s driveway as a turn-around on E. Anderson Road and has been doing this for numerous years. Roger Venden had asked the Town Board if they would be willing to cost share to have the driveway/turn-around blacktopped when they were paving E. Anderson Road due to the town utilizes this area as a turn-around. David Gollon made a motion to pay $2,000.00 for the blacktopping of the turn-around on E. Anderson Road with the conditions that an agreement is drafted and recorded between the Town of Dodgeville and Roger Venden .This agreement is to address the use of the driveway by the Township, maintenance of the driveway and possible negotiating costs related to the driveway. David Blume seconded the motion. Motion carried.

4) Discussion & possible action re: Asphalt on Canyon Park Road. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson had received prices from Scott Construction for paving 0.3 miles on Canyon Park Road at the width of 16 feet and 18 feet. Steven Johnson made a motion to blacktop 0.3 miles of Canyon Park Road 18 feet wide for approximately $28,000.00. David Blume seconded the motion. Motion carried.

5) Discussion & possible action re: Ditch on Brue Road. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson had indicated that he had been in contact with Rule Construction about the work that needed to be completed on Brue Road due to flood damages. Curt Peterson had indicated that Rule Construction thought the cost would be around $4,800 to put the ditching back into place. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson was going to talk to Rule’s to see if they could possible not remove the new existing fence to retrieve the washed away materials. David Blume made a motion to approve Rule Construction to fix the ditching and waterway on Brue Road in the amount of $4,800.00. Steven Johnson seconded the motion. Motion carried.

6) Discussion & possible action re: Klosterman Road. The Town Board discussed the condition of Klosterman Road. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson had indicated that it could use some gravel due to the volume of traffic that is created by the existing dairy set-up. David Gollon made a motion to look into the procedures to discontinue Klosterman Road as it currently only serves one property owner. Steven Johnson seconded the motion. Motion carried. The Town Board took a 2 minute recess. Steven Johnson made a motion to not put additional gravel on Klosterman Road until next month’s meeting when information is presented about the discontinuing of a Town highway. David Gollon seconded the motion. Motion carried.

7) Public Comment. Steve Johnson passed out correspondence from Mr. T’s Easy Stop in reference to purchasing fuel at there locations.

8) Adjournment. Steve Johnson made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 p.m. David Gollon seconded the motion. Motion carried.
