August 22, 2011 Special Town Board Meeting

Special Town Board Meeting
August 22nd, 2011 @ 4:00 p.m.

1) Call to order. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 4:03 p.m.

Town Supervisors in attendance were: David Gollon, David Thomas, David Blume and Charles Price. Also in attendance were Clerk Sara Olson and Keith Dalsing.

2) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, David Gollon made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor, Charlie Price. Motion carried.

3) Review bids from August 22nd, 2011 10:00 a.m. bid opening & possible award project: 2011 Brue Road Improvments. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented the Town Board with a summary sheet from the August 22nd 10:00 a.m. bid opening. Keith Dalsing had verified that he reviewed all the bid documents. Charlie Price made a motion to award Contract #1 – Earthwork and Related Improvements to the lowest bidder Rule Construction in the amount of $211,260.00. David Blume seconded the motion. Motion carried. David Gollon made a motion to award Constrict #2 – Bituminous Concrete to Scott’s Construction in the amount of Base Bid $47,250.00, Supplemental Price #1 $2,310.00 and Supplemental Price #2 $48,980.00. David Blume seconded the motion. Motion carried. Charlie Price made a motion to install a fort at the Town’s expense to replace the existing fort that will be removed during construction with the permits being issued in the Judd’s name. David Blume seconded the motion. Charlie Price made a motion to construct a field access driveway on the south side of the Miller’s property due to construction makes the existing entrance inaccessible. David Gollon seconded the motion. Motion carried.

4) Public Comment. None

5) Adjournment. David Blume made a motion to adjourn the meeting. David Thomas seconded the motion. Motion carried.
