Sanitary District #1, #2 & #3 Board of Commissioners
Tuesday, September 7th, 2010
6:00 p.m.

1) Call to order. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m.

Town Supervisors in attendance were: Charles Price, David Gollon, David Thomas and Thomas Mueller. Also in attendance were Clerk Sara Olson, Darrin Crook, Terry Slaney, Nona Hyytinen, Bill Ammann, Jamie Ammann, Pete Stadler and Steve Mitchek.

2) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, Thomas Mueller made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor David Gollon. Motion carried.

3) Approval of Meeting Minutes from July 6th, 2010. Thomas Mueller made a motion to approve the July 6th, 2010 minutes as submitted. Charles Price seconded the motion. Motion carried. David Thomas abstained from the motion.

4) Discussion & possible action re: Easement locations of the Sanitary sewer main extension in Sanitary District #2 The Town Board discussed acceptance of the sanitary sewer main extension and the need of the easement being recorded with the affected individuals. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson had indicated that Terry Slaney had talked to the City of Dodgeville about a general access easement however that proposal wouldn’t work per the City of Dodgeville’s attorney. Thomas Mueller made a motion to continue the discussion on this particular issue. Charlie Price seconded the motion.

5) Discussion & possible action re: Acceptance of the sanitary sewer main extension consisting of 850 LF of 8-inch sewer in Sanitary District #2. No action taken.

6) Discussion & possible action re: Sewer Meter Billing Issues – Advantage Copying & Printing. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson indicated to the Town Board that Advantage Copying & Printing (Ed Weaver) had requested that action be delayed on this matter due to he was unable to attend the meeting. Thomas Mueller made a motion to deny the request to pay or reimburse Advantage Copying & Printing for the installation of the meter. David Thomas seconded the motion. Motion carried.

7) Discussion & possible action re: Payment of invoices for waterleak in Sanitary District #3. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson indicated that neither party was able to find out who was responsible for placing the rock on the pipe in which turn caused the waterleak. Thomas Mueller made a motion to bill the Sanitary District #3 user (D.A. Auto) for the cost of the waterleak which is the cost to maintain the line with a credit for 1 yard of gravel. David Gollon seconded the motion. Motion carried.

8) Discussion & possible action re: Hitting and relocating of the electrical line to the lift station in Sanitary District #1. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson had indicated to the Town Board that the 3 phrase wire that runs the lift station had been hit during the digging of a gas line. David Thomas made a motion to pay for the hitting of the electrical line out of the Sanitary District account. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson also indicated that there is no recorded easement for the electrical line on the Don Q Inn property. David Gollon made a motion to contact the Town’s Attorney to answer legal questions about the easements and the allowing of building on top of a sewer lateral. Thomas Mueller seconded the motion. Motion carried.

9) Public Comment. None.

10) Adjournment. Thomas Mueller made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:12 p.m. David Gollon seconded the motion. Motion carried.
