Plan Commission Meeting
Monday, November 29th, 2010
The Town of Dodgeville Plan Commission met on Monday, November 29th at 6:30 PM. Chair, Dave Blume called the Planning Commission meeting to order at 6:30 PM.
Plan Commission Committee members in attendance were: Chair, Dave Blume, Laura Jean Blotz, Curt Peterson, Anthony Esch, and Robert Butler. David Thomas and Matthew Chitwood were absent.
Others in attendance were: Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson, Dave Thoreson, John Ihm, Rebecca Cleary and Joe Cleary.
Chairman Blume verified that proper notice of the meeting was posted on November 17th, 2010 in accordance to WI Statutes 19.84 (3) at the Town Message Boards at Jumping Jupiter, Mueller Implement and the Town Office. Curt Peterson made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda. Laura Jean Blotz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Curt Peterson made a motion to approve the August 30th meeting minutes as presented. Anthony Esch seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Chairman David Blume asked Rebecca & Joseph Cleary to provide the Planning Commission information on the rezoning application, located in part of the SW ¼ of the SE ¼ of Section 31, Town 7 North, Range 4 East to rezone 11.75 acres more or less from A-1 non-conforming to AR-1Ag Residential. Rebecca & Joe had indicated to the Plan Commission that they are looking into their options for this piece of property and they wanted to make it conforming.
Dave Thoreson had indicated that he was against the rezoning of this property as there are currently enough houses on Griffiths road.
Anthony Esch made a motion to recommend the approval of the rezoning of 11.75 acres more or less located in part of the SW ¼ of the SE ¼ of Section 31, Town 7 North, Range 4 East from A-1 non-conforming to AR-1 Ag Residential. Laura Jean Blotz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson informed the Planning Commission of several public informational sessions on the Farmland Preservation Program that were being held by the Iowa County Planning & Development Office. The handout that was presented was put in all tax bills and sent to residents.
John Ihm had requested that the Town Planning Commission review previous zoning correspondence/documents and indicate the number of building sites that he has remaining. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson and John Ihm had spent time prior to the meeting reviewing these documents so John would have a better understanding of the documents and acreage. The Town Planning Commission had indicated that they felt all the building rights on the land owned by John Ihm had been used as indicated in the correspondence. The Plan Commission had indicated that in order for John Ihm to build a home on the 49 acres he currently has for sale the mobile home would have to be removed prior to any permits being issued. There was no motion made in reference to this request due to there was no petition filed.
Robert Butler made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:34 p.m. Anthony Esch seconded the motion. Motion carried.
