Special Town Board Meeting Minutes
March 9th, 2010
6:00 P.M.

1) Call to order. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.

Town Supervisors in attendance were: Charles Price, David Thomas, Thomas Mueller and David Gollon. Also in attendance were Clerk Sara Olson, Charley Rolli and Jeffrey Haylock.

2) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, David Gollon made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor, Thomas Mueller. Motion carried.

3) Discussion & Possible action re: Mower Tractor Quotes. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented the Town Board with mower tractor quotes from 5 local dealers on the next series up as requested. The Town Board looked at the tractor quotes and compared the Weight, Engine PTO, Fluid Amount, Tire Size, Horsepower and the amount of fluid in the reservoir on each tractor as well as prices. Thomas Mueller made a motion to accept Hennessey’s quote for a New Holland 6050 in the amount of $78,250.00 that would include a rebuild kit on the mowers as well as the option prices that were quoted be good through the season. The Town Board would also be purchasing the safety glass option on the right side of the cab. David Gollon seconded the motion. Motion carried.

4) Discussion & possible action re: Pressure Washer for Town Shop. Town Supervisor, Thomas Mueller presented the Town Board with information in regards to different types of pressure washers offered by Mi-T-M Corporation. Charlie Price made a motion to purchase Model CW-3004-4M31a Electric Belt Drive Pressure Washer for the cost of $1,965.00. David Thomas seconded the motion. Motion carried. Thomas Mueller abstained from the motion.

5) Discussion & possible action re: Municipal borrowing of $90,000.00 to purchase a new mower tractor. David Thomas made a motion to pursue the banks that hold Township funds and Hennessey’s to determine rates and municipal lease quotes for borrowing funds for up to 5 years. Thomas Mueller seconded the motion. Motion carried.

6) Closed Session in Accordance with Wisconsin Statue 19.85 (1) (g) to confer with legal counsel for the governmental body who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in which is or is likely to become involved. Thomas Mueller seconded the motion. Motion carried. Roll call: Peterson, yes; Gollon, yes; Mueller, yes; Price, yes and Thomas, yes. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson was also present during closed session.

7) Reconvene into Open Session. Thomas Mueller made a motion to reconvene into open session. David Thomas seconded the motion. Motion carried.

8) Board Action as a Result of Closed Session. Thomas Mueller made a motion to send a delinquent notice to 2008 personal property tax payers demanding payment with 30 days otherwise the Town will go to small claims court to collect the delinquent tax that was due January 31st, 2009. David Thomas seconded the motion. Motion carried.

9) Public Comment. None

10) Adjournment. Thomas Mueller made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Charlie Price seconded the motion. Motion carried.
