Town Board Meeting Minutes
January 3rd, 2023
*6:00 p.m.*


1) Call to order. Town Supervisor, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Town Supervisors in attendance were Pam Johnson-Loy, Kyle Levetzow, Peter Vanderloo and David Pope. Also, in attendance were Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson and Kevin Zajicek.

Everyone in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

2) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, Kyle Levetzow made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor, David Pope. Motion carried.

3) Public Comment. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson indicated that numerous positive comments have been received from town residence in regards to plowing of the roadways.

4) Approval of Meeting Minutes from December 6th, 2022. Pam Johnson-Loy made a motion to approve the meeting minutes from December 6th, 2022 as presented. David Pope seconded the motion. Motion carried.

5) Approval of Treasurer’s Report for General, Sanitary District #1 and Tax Collection Account. Peter Vanderloo made a motion to approve the Town of Dodgeville’s December 2022 Treasurer’s Report stating the following fund balances:

General Checking $ 135,327.64
Farmer’s Savings $ 123,433.51
Farmer’s Savings – Tax Dollars $ 536,896.38
Local Government Investment Pool $ 7,505.86
Farmer’s Savings Tax Account $ 1,026,812.63
Intra-Fi CD’s $ 1,003,190.16

Township Funds: $1,269,457.17
Tax Funds: $1,563,709.01
ARPA Funds: $ 147,965.32

Pam Johnson-Loy seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Peter Vanderloo made a motion to approve Sanitary District #1 Treasurer’s Report as submitted stating the following fund balances:

Sanitary District #1 $ 20,025.69

Pam Johnson-Loy seconded the motion. Motion carried.

6) Bills to be approved. David Pope made a motion to approve the January 1st, 2023 vouchers in the amount of $29,542.74 and Sanitary District #1 vouchers in the amount of $4,096.93. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.

7) Town Roads/Equipment Report. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson updated the Town Board in regards to the existing roadway conditions. Town patrolman Kevin Zajicek updated the Town Board in regards to the status of all the equipment. No action was taken.

8) Clerk/Treasurer Report. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson indicated that the auditors are scheduled for January 16th and 17th and tax collections are going well. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson also indicated that nomination papers were received from: Town Board Supervisors David Pope and Kyle Levetzow as well as Town Chairman, Curt Peterson. These candidates will be placed on the Spring Election ballot.


9) Discussion & possible action re: Final Approval and Disbursement of Greenleaf Broadband Grant (ARPA Funds). Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented information from Kapital Engineering, Inc. & MH Telecom in regards to the completion of the fiber-optic installation to Greenleaf Glen project area. Kyle Levetzow made a motion to approve and disburse ARPA funds in the amount of $11,500.00 to MH Telecom. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

10) Discussion & possible action re: Town of Dodgeville / ATC Road Use Agreement. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented an e-mail that was received from John Callaway clarifying Item #7. A subsequent assessment on Leffler Road had also been completed as previously requested. Kyle Levetzow made a motion to approve the ATC Road Use Agreement. Pam Johnson-Loy seconded the motion. Motion carried.

11) Discussion & possible action re: Approval or Denial of Operator’s License for Sydney Judd. Kyle Levetzow made a motion to approve the operator’s license for Sydney Judd. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

12) Discussion & possible action re: WTA Advocacy Council Membership. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented information in regards to the WTA Advocacy Council Membership. The Town Board requested that Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson contact the WTA to get details about the effectiveness of the Town Advocacy Council. No action was taken.

13) Adjournment. David Pope made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:43 p.m. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.
