Plan Commission Meeting
Monday, September 26th, 2011

The Town of Dodgeville Plan Commission met on Monday, September 26th at 6:30 PM. Chair, Anthony Esch called the Planning Commission meeting to order at 6:30 PM.

Plan Commission Committee members in attendance were: Chair, Anthony Esch, Robert Butler, Matthew Chitwood, Laura Jean Blotz, David Blume and Curt Peterson. Katherine Cahill was absent.

Others in attendance were: Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson, John Davies, Dave Ederer, Pat Ederer, Gary Rowley and Laurie Rowley.

Chairman Anthony Esch verified that proper notice of the meeting was posted on September 21, 2011 in accordance to WI Statutes 19.84 (3) at the Town Message Boards at Jumping Jupiter, Mueller Implement and the Town Office. Curt Peterson made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda. David Blume seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Kathi Cahill arrived at the meeting prior to the minutes being approved.

David Blume made a motion to approve the August 29th, 2011 meeting minutes as submitted. Matthew Chitwood seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Chairman Anthony Esch asked Gary Rowley to provide the Planning Commission information on rezoning application, located in the part of the NE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 32, Town 6 North, Range 4 East to rezone 10.00 acres more or less from A-1 Ag to AR-1 Ag Residential. Gary Rowley indicated that they are trying to create a home site.

David Blume made a motion to recommend the approval of the rezoning of 10.00 acres more or less from A-1 Ag to AR-1 Ag Residential located in the part of the NE ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 32, Town 6 North, Range 4 East currently being owned by Gary & Laurie Rowley with the conditions that the density standard be met with the appropriate acreage being put into a conservancy district. Robert Butler seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Chairman Anthony Esch asked David Ederer to provide the Planning Commission information on the conditional use permit to consider dairy equipment sales and services and an electric business on a 2.8 acre B-2 Highway Business Lot in S26-T6N-R3E located at 3207 Bennett Road in the Town of Dodgeville. David Ederer indicated that they would be running Ederer Dairy Supplies and an Electrical Business out of the building. David indicated that they would not be doing anything with the existing lighting and would possible sell some agricultural products and services.

David Blume made a motion to recommend the approval of the conditional use permit to consider dairy equipment sales and services, agricultural services and sales and an electric business on a 2.8 acre B-2 Highway Business Lot in S26-T6N-R3E located at 3207 Bennett Road in the Town of Dodgeville. Matthew Chitwood seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson updated the Planning Commission members on a petition that was withdrawn at the county level. The Town Plan Commission members indicated that they would like to talk about how long a rezoning recommendation is valid for in the future.

David Blume made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:50 p.m. Laura Jean Blotz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
