Special Town Board Meeting Minutes
November 13, 2008 @ 6:00 p.m.


1) Call to order. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 6:06 PM.

Town Supervisors in attendance were: Greg Jewell, Charles Price and David Thomas. Also in attendance were Clerk Sara Olson, Les Evans and Brent Straka.

2) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, Charles Price made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor Greg Jewell. Motion carried.

3) Discussion and possible action re: Health Insurance for employees. Brent Straka from Tricor Insurance presented the Town Board with information in regards to setting up a group plan for the Town of Dodgeville. Brent also answered any questions the Board had in reference to insurance and the preliminary quotes that were obtained from several different insurance companies. Greg Jewell made a motion to have all full-time employees fill out a health insurance application so the policy can go through underwriting and the Township can receive firm quotes. Charles Price seconded the motion. Motion carried.

4) Closed Session in Accordance with Wisconsin Statue 19.85 (1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, employee hours, compensation or performance evaluation of any public employee of which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Curt Peterson made a motion to go into closed session in Accordance with Wisconsin Statue 19.85 (1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, employee hours, compensation or performance evaluation of any public employee of which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Charles Price seconded the motion. Roll call: Peterson, yes, Price, yes, Jewell, yes, Thomas, yes. Motion carried. Also present was Clerk Sara Olson.

5) Reconvene into Open Session. Charles Price made a motion to reconvene into open session. Greg Jewell seconded the motion. Motion carried.

6) Board Action as a Result of Closed Session. No action was taken on the closed session topic.

7) Public Comment. None

8) Adjournment. Greg Jewell made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:36 P.M. David Thomas seconded the motion. Motion carried.
