Plan Commission Meeting
Tuesday, May 28th, 2019

The Town of Dodgeville Plan Commission met on Tuesday, May 28th, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. Town Board Chairman Curt Peterson called the Planning Commission meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.

Plan Commission Committee members in attendance were: Larry Nelson, Peter Vanderloo, Curt Peterson, Ron Robson and David Blume. Absent was: Darold Tresner.

Others in attendance was: Gertrude Miess

Town Board Chairman Curt Peterson verified that proper notice of the public hearing was posted on May 15th, 2019 in accordance to WI Statutes 19.84 (3) at the Town Message Boards at Pleasant Ridge Store, Mueller Implement and the Town Office. Peter Vanderloo made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda. Larry Nelson seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Larry Nelson made a motion to approve the April 29th, 2019 Plan Commission meeting minutes meeting minutes as submitted. Ron Robson seconded the motion. Motion carried. David Blume abstained from the motion.

The Planning Commission and Gertrude Miess discussed the rezoning application to rezone 2 acres more or less from A-1 Ag to AR-1 located in the SW ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section 35, Township 7 North, Range 2 East located at 4682 Miess Road. The Planning Commission discussed the existing deed restriction that was placed on the property during the driveway approval process, the lifting of the deed restriction once rezoning approval is granted, the need for field access driveways on the remainder of the land and the need to place the appropriate acreage into the conservancy district if the deed restriction is lifted upon rezoning of the property. Larry Nelson made a motion to recommend the approval of the rezoning application of Glen & Gertrude Miess to rezone 2 acres more or less from A-1 Ag to AR-1 located in the SW ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section 35, Township 7 North, Range 2 East located at 4682 Miess Road continguent upon the lifting or releasing of the deed restriction, installation of approved field access driveways prior to the recommendation being forwarded to the county and the appropriate acreage being placed into the conservancy district to meet the density standard. David Blume seconded the motion. Motion carried.

David Blume made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:30 p.m. Larry Nelson seconded the motion. Motion carried.
