Special Town Board Meeting Minutes
Thursday, March 26, 2009
6:00 p.m.
1) Call to order. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m.

Town Supervisors in attendance were: Charles Price, David Gollon and David Thomas. Greg Jewell was absent. Others in attendance where Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson.

2) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, David Thomas made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor Charles Price. Motion carried.

3) Discussion & possible action re: Estimates for Removal and Trimming of Trees (Leffler Road). Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented the Town Board with estimates from Bill Hamilton and Stietz Tree Service for the removal of the tree in front of the Town Office as well as trimming the trees back on Leffler Road. David Thomas made a motion to accept the estimate from Bill Hamilton in the amount of $425.00 for the removal, clean-up and stump grinding of the tree located in front of the Town Office as well as the estimate in the amount of $200 for the trimming of the trees on Leffler Road. David Gollon seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson also spoke to the Town Board in reference to cutting the trees back further than what was previously included in the estimate. David Thomas made a motion to cut the trees back a little bit further however the project can’t exceed a total of $300.00. Charles Price seconded the motion. Motion carried.

4) Review & possible adoption re: 2009-259 Resolution Designating Public Depository and Authorizing Withdrawal of County, City, Village, Town or School District Moneys. David Thomas made a motion to approve Resolution 2009-259 Resolution Designating Public Depository and Authorizing Withdrawal of County, City, Village, Town or School District Moneys with the addition of adding Charles D. Price as an authorized signature on the M&I Bank Tax Account and the Special Offer CD’s. Charles Price seconded the motion. Motion carried.

5) Discussion & possible action re: Cleaning of ditch lines on Lehner Road where necessary. David Gollon made a motion to lower the shoulders and clean the ditch lines and culverts where necessary on Lehner Road. The residents that will be affected on Lehner Road will be notified when this activity is going to commence and the Town of Dodgeville will be reseeding the affected ditch lines. David Thomas seconded the motion. Motion carried.

6) Closed Session in Accordance with Wisconsin Statue 19.85 (1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, employee hours, compensation or performance evaluation of any public employee of which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility (Performance Evaluations & Employee Manual). David Thomas made a motion to go into closed session in Accordance with Wisconsin Statue 19.85 (1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, employee hours, compensation or performance evaluation of any public employee of which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility (Performance Evaluations & Employee Manual). David Gollon seconded the motion. Roll call: Peterson, yes, Price, yes, Gollon, yes, Thomas, yes. Motion carried.

7) Reconvene into Open Session. David Thomas made a motion to reconvene into open session at 9:10 p.m. Charles Price seconded the motion. Motion carried.

8) Board Action as a Result of Closed Session. The Town Board will schedule performance evaluations for Regular Full-time Employees and Regular Part-Time Employees on April 2nd, 2009 at a Special Town Board Meeting.

9) Public Comment. None.

10) Adjournment. David Gollon made a motion to adjourn at 9:15 p.m. David Thomas seconded the motion. Motion carried.
