Special Town Board Meeting Minutes
Saturday, March 10th, 2012 – 1:00 PM

The Town of Dodgeville Board met on Saturday, March 10th at 1:00 PM. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM.

Town Chairman was in attendance along with Supervisor Charles Price, Dave Blume and David Thomas. Also in attendance were Dennis Dochnahl and Robert & Evelyn Thuli.

The public notice and the agenda were approved on motion by Supervisor, Charles Price seconded by Supervisor David Thomas. Motion carried.

David Blume made a motion to recess to the NW pt fr of the NW ¼ of the SW ¼ S7-T6N-R3E in which they would then walk the entire fence line. David Thomas seconded the motion. Motion carried. Application was made to the Town by Dennis Dochnahl.

The Town Board reconvened at 108 E. Leffler Street at 2:53 p.m.

Stretch 1 is 413 feet in length with Robert & Evelyn Thuli owning the easterly 188 feet and Dennis Dochnahl owning the westerly 225 feet. David Thomas made a motion to have Thuli’s put in set and brace post and a brace on Thuli’s fence on the west end of Thuli’s fence. David Blume seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Stretch 2 is 787 feet in length with Dennis Dochnahl owning the northerly 392 feet and Robert & Evelyn Thuli owning the southerly 395 feet. David Blume made a motion to switch fence ownership. Thuli’s will need to put in new set and brace post with bracing on south end before switching fence ownership and each owner will need to install a set and brace post and brace in the middle. Charlie Price seconded the motion. Motion carried (3-1 Peterson, no). David Blume made a motion to rescind the current motion. Charlie Price seconded the motion. Motion carried (3-1 Thomas, no). Charlie Price made a motion to have all new fence installed in Stretch 2 with the owners switching fence ownership. The new fence would need to be a legal fence and installed by May 1st 2012. David Blume seconded the motion. Motion carried (3-1 Peterson, no). After much discussion David Blume made a motion to rescind the current motion. Charlie Price seconded the motion. Motion carried. David Thomas made a motion to have Thuli’s install a new set and brace post on the south end of the fence and brace in center. David Blume seconded the motion. Motion carried. Charlie Price made a motion to have the fence remain divided as is with Dennis Dochnahl owning the northerly 392 feet and Robert & Evelyn Thuli owning the southerly 395 feet. David Blume seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Stretch 3 is 1377 feet in length with Dennis Dochnahl owning the easterly 672 feet and Robert & Evelyn Thuli owning the westerly 705 feet. David Blume made a motion to have the existing fence line stay the same as stated above with Thuli’s installing a new brace and set post and a 4th wire on the east end of his portion of fence. David Thomas seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Stretch 4 is 2689 feet in length with Thuli’s owning the northerly 605 feet, Dennis Dochnahl owning the next 1,243 feet and Thuli’s owning the southerly 841 feet. David Thomas made a motion to change the ownership as follows: Thuli’s will own the northerly 505 feet, Dennis Dochnahl will own the next 1,343 feet and Thuli’s will own the southerly 841 feet. This fence needs to be brought up to code on all portions of the fence by May 1st, 2012. Charlie Price seconded the motion. Motion carried.
David Thomas made a motion to adjourn at 4:55 p.m. Dave Blume seconded the motion. Motion carried.
