Plan Commission Meeting
Monday, June 26th, 2017

The Town of Dodgeville Plan Commission met on Monday, June 26th, 2017 at 6:00 P.M. Plan Commission Chairman Greg Jewell called the Planning Commission meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.

Plan Commission Committee members in attendance were: Greg Jewell, Ron Robson, Peter Vanderloo, Robert Fitzsimmons, Larry Nelson and Daryl Tresner. Absent was Curt Peterson.

Others in attendance were: Carol Thomas, Alan Jewell and Dale Weier.

Chairman Greg Jewell verified that proper notice of the public hearing was posted on June 14th, 2017 in accordance to WI Statutes 19.84 (3) at the Town Message Boards at Pleasant Ridge Store, Mueller Implement and the Town Office. Peter Vanderloo made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda. Larry Nelson seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Robert Fitzsimmons made a motion to approve the April 24th, 2017 Plan Commission meeting minutes that were presented. Daryl Tresner seconded the motion. Motion carried. Peter Vanderloo abstained.

The Town Planning Commission discussed the rezoning application of Dale Weier of 4.50 acres more or less from A-1 and AR-1 to AR-1 located in part of the SE ¼ of the NE ¼ of Section 14, Town 6 North, Range 3 East at 3762 County Road Z. Larry Nelson made a motion to recommend the approval of the rezoning application of 4.50 acres more or less from A-1 and AR-1 to AR-1 located in part of the SE ¼ of the NE ¼ of Section 14, Town 6 North, Range 3 East at 3762 County Road Z. Robert Fitzsimmons seconded the motion. Motion carried.

The Town Planning Commission discussed the rezoning application of Oakdale Farms LP of 15 acres more or less from A-1 to AR-1 located in the NE ¼ of SW ¼, the NW ¼ of SE ¼, part of the SW ¼ of the SE ¼, and part of the SE ¼ of the SW ¼ Section 20, Town 6 North, Range 3 East located at 4050 US Highway 18 and the rezoning application of 5.5 acres more or less from A-1 to AR-1 located in part of the NE ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section 29, Town 6 North, Range 3 East located at 4045 US Highway 18. Daryl Tresner made a motion to recommend the approval of the rezoning application of 15 acres more or less from A-1 to AR-1 located in the NE ¼ of SW ¼, the NW ¼ of SE ¼, part of the SW ¼ of the SE ¼, and part of the SE ¼ of the SW ¼ Section 20, Town 6 North, Range 3 East located at 4050 US Highway 18 and the rezoning application of 5.5 acres more or less from A-1 to AR-1 located in part of the NE ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section 29, Town 6 North, Range 3 East located at 4045 US Highway 18 with the contingency that the appropriate acreage is placed in the conservancy district to meet the Town’s density standard.

Planning Commission Chairman, Greg Jewell had recommended that the individual members review the information that was given to the Planning Commission members in April and bring any recommended wording or items to discuss back to the Planning Commission.

Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson informed the Planning Commission that the annual inspection of the Rule Quarry LLC mine site had taken place on May 12th, 2017.

Peter Vanderloo made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:02 p.m. Ron Robson seconded the motion. Motion carried.
