Town Board Meeting Minutes
June 1st, 2021
*6:00 p.m.*

1) Call to order. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m.

Town Supervisors in attendance were David Pope, Peter Vanderloo and Kyle Levetzow. Excused was David Gollon. Also, in attendance was Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson, Kevin Zajicek and Randy Beerkircher.

Everyone in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

2) Public Comment. None.

3) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, David Pope made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor, Peter Vanderloo. Motion carried.

4) Approval of Meeting Minutes from May 4th, 2021 and May 10th, 2021. David Pope made a motion to approve the May 4th & 10th, 2021 meeting minutes as presented. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

5) Approval of Treasurer’s Report for General, Sanitary District #1 and Tax Collection Account. Peter Vanderloo made a motion to approve the Town of Dodgeville’s May 2021 Treasurer’s Report stating the following fund balances:

General Checking $ 62,731.23
Farmer’s Savings $ 225,950.57
Local Government Investment Pool $ 7,410.15
Farmer’s Savings Tax Account $ 0.00
Mound City Tax Account $ 556,162.78

Township Funds: $ 852,254.73
Tax Funds: $ 0.00

David Pope seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Peter Vanderloo made a motion to approve Sanitary District #1 Treasurer’s Report as submitted stating the following fund balances:

Sanitary District #1 $14,536.52

David Pope seconded the motion. Motion carried.

6) Bills to be approved. David Pope made a motion to approve the June 1st, 2021 vouchers in the amount of $10,728.32 and Sanitary District #1 vouchers in the amount of $3,219.59. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

7) Town Roads/Equipment Report. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson and Town Patrolman Randy Beerkircher updated the Town Board in regards to the removal of the fence on Leffler Rd, the spot of adhesive on the F-550 that will be covered under warranty as well as the status of seal coating and the motor on the mower tractor.

8) Clerk/Treasurer Report. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson indicated that she would be utilizing a half-day of vacation on Wednesday, June 2nd as well as vacation days on June 3rd and 4th.

9) Discussion and possible action re: 2022 Assessment Services Proposals. The Town Board further discussed the assessment services proposals and requested that Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson contract Chimney Rock Appraisals to obtain the cost for a 1 year, 2 year and 3 year assessment service proposal. No board action was taken.

10) Approval or Denial of Class “A” and “B” Beer, Liquor, and Wine Licenses for the 2021-2022 licensing year. Pleasant Ridge County Store LLC – Class “B” Beer & Liquor, Kate’s Bait LLC – Class “A” Beer, White Oak Savannah, LLC – Class “B” Beer & Liquor and House on the Rock Inn – Class “B” Beer & Liquor.

David Pope made a motion to approve the issuance of a 2021-2022 Class “B” Beer/Liquor Combination license for Pleasant Ridge Store (Charles Rolli, Agent). Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

David Pope made a motion to approve the issuance of a 2021-2022 Class “A” Beer license for Kate’s Bait LLC (Kathryn Mosley, Agent). Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

David Pope made a motion to approve the issuance of a 2021-2022 Class “B” Beer/Liquor Combination license for White Oak Savannah, LLC. (Rachel Raye, Agent). Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

David Pope made a motion to approve the issuance of a 2021-2022 Class “B” Beer/Liquor Combination license for House on the Rock Inn (Nancy Schaaf, Agent). Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

11) Approval or Denial of Operator Licenses for the 2021-2022 licensing year: Ashley Anderson, Fontana Degenhardt, Brianna Kirschbaum, Terri Rolli, Nicole Martin, Megan Pittz, Jesse Meudt, Jalissa Jacobson, Chad Mosley, Dale Rickey, Lily Rickey, David Busse and Paul Gaynor. David Pope made a motion to approve operator licenses for the 2021-2022 licensing year for the following individuals: Ashley Anderson, Fontana Degenhardt, Brianna Kirschbaum, Terri Rolli, Nicole Martin, Megan Pittz, Jesse Meudt, Jalissa Jacobson, Chad Mosley, Dale Rickey, Lily Rickey, David Busse and Paul Gaynor. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

12) Discussion & possible action re: 2021-314 E-CMAR 2020. Peter Vanderloo made a motion to approve Resolution 2021-314 E-CMAR 2020. David Pope seconded the motion. Motion carried.

13) Discussion & possible action re: TRIP and TRIP-D Project. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson informed the Town Board of upcoming TRIP and TRIP-D funding opportunities.

14) Discussion & possible action re: Miess Road. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented information in regards to the costs to reconstruct the ditchline on Miess Road and provided a draft copy of a letter to be mailed out to individuals that are planting within the road right-of-way.

15) Closed Session in accordance with Wisconsin Statue 19.85 (1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, employee hours, compensation or performance evaluation of any public employee of which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Kyle Levetzow made a motion to go into Closed Session in accordance with Wisconsin Statue 19.85 (1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, employee hours, compensation or performance evaluation of any public employee of which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. David Pope seconded the motion. Motion carried. Roll call: Peterson, yes; Levetzow, yes; Pope, yes; Peterson, yes and Vanderloo, yes.

16) Reconvene into Open Session. Peter Vanderloo made a motion to reconvene into open session. David Pope seconded the motion. Motion carried.

17) Board action as a result of Closed Session. No action.

18) Adjournment. Kyle Levetzow made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:24 p.m. Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.
