Plan Commission Meeting
Monday, January 30th, 2012

The Town of Dodgeville Plan Commission met on Monday, January 30th at 6:30 PM. Chair, Anthony Esch called the Planning Commission meeting to order at 6:31 PM.

Plan Commission Committee members in attendance were: Chair, Anthony Esch, Robert Butler, Matthew Chitwood, Laura Jean Blotz, Katherine Cahill, David Blume and Curt Peterson.

Others in attendance were: Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson and Gary Rowley.

Chairman Anthony Esch verified that proper notice of the meeting was posted on January 25th, 2012 in accordance to WI Statutes 19.84 (3) at the Town Message Boards at Jumping Jupiter, Mueller Implement and the Town Office. Matthew Chitwood made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda. Katherine Cahill seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Laura Jean Blotz made a motion to approve the December 29th, 2011 meeting minutes as submitted. Curt Peterson seconded the motion. Motion carried. David Blume and Katherine Cahill abstained from the motion.

Chairman Anthony Esch asked Gary Rowley who was representing Barbara Althoff & John Damm to provide the Planning Commission information on the rezoning application, located in the part of the SW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 32 Town 6 North Range 4 East and part of the E ½ of the SE ¼ of the SE ¼ of Section 31 Town 6 North Range 4 East to rezone a 5.7 acres more or less and a 10.00 acres more or less from A-1 Ag to AR-1 Ag Residential. Gary Rowley indicated that the individuals are trying to make 2 residential lots and a 40 acre parcel.

David Blume made a motion to recommend the approval of the rezoning of two 7.5 acres more or less lots from A-1 Ag to AR-1 Ag Residential with the appropriate acreage being placed into AC-1 Conservancy located in the part of the SW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 32 Town 6 North Range 4 East and part of the E ½ of the SE ¼ of the SE ¼ of Section 31 Town 6 North Range 4 East currently being owned by Barbara Althoff & John Damm. This rezoning approval is contingent upon a driveway variance being issued. Matthew Chitwood seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Curt Peterson had presented documents about the Groundwater Study that was completed in Iowa County. Curt Peterson also indicated some future issues that will be coming up at the county level after the April election. David Blume also indicated that he would like to talk about allowing extra housing units on wooded areas. David Blume indicated that it would only be at the discussion level at the current time.

David Blume made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Matthew Chitwood seconded the motion. Motion carried.
