Plan Commission Meeting Minutes
Monday, January 26th, 2009

The Town of Dodgeville Plan Commission met on Monday, January 26th, 2009 at 6:30 PM. Chair, Dave Blume called the meeting to order at 6:32 PM.

Plan Commission Committee members in attendance were: Chair, Dave Blume, Laura Jean Blotz, Curt Peterson, Matt Chitwood and Larry Lenox.

Others in attendance were: Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson, Bob Butler, Betsy D’Angelo, Diane O’Donnell, and Carolyn Hahn.

Chairman Blume verified that proper notice of the meeting was posted on January 21, 2009 in accordance to WI Statutes 19.84 (3) at the Town Message Boards at Jumping Jupiter, Mueller Implement and the Town Office. Laura Jean Blotz made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda. Matt Chitwood seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Larry Lenox made a motion to approve the November 24th, 2008 meeting minutes as submitted. Laura Jean Blotz seconded the motion. Motion carried.

The Plan Commission members reviewed the following sections of the Town of Dodgeville Comprehensive Plan: Section A, Issues and Opportunities Element, Section B, Housing Element and Section C, Transportation Element. The Plan Commission discussed these elements in great detail as a review of the Comprehensive Plan to the current Plan Commission members as well as the general public. This review and discussion of the elements only served as a refresher and no actions or modifications to the plan were taken.

Plan Commission member Curt Peterson gave the Plan Commission members a brief overview of the proposed revisions to the Iowa County Zoning Ordinance relating to revision appeals, late permit fees, violation processing, ordinance revision review criteria, principal uses in all zoning districts, a new district to allow non-residential structures and open spaces only and a new general agricultural district. Matthew Chitwood made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:33 p.m. Larry Lenox seconded the motion. Motion carried.
