Town Board Meeting Minutes
February 2nd, 2021
*6:00 p.m.*

1) Call to order. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Town Supervisors in attendance were David Pope, David Gollon, Kyle Levetzow and Peter Vanderloo. Also, in attendance was Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson.

Everyone in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

2) Public Comment. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson indicated that an individual has taken salt out of the shed and we were unable to obtain license plates and address numbers are needed on the building of the Town Hall per the fire inspectors request.

3) Approval of Public Notice/Agenda. Supervisor, Kyle Levetzow made a motion to approve the public notice and agenda seconded by Supervisor, David Pope. Motion carried.

4) Approval of Meeting Minutes from January 5th and January 22nd, 2021. Peter Vanderloo made a motion to approve the January 5th & January 22nd meeting minutes as presented. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.

5) Approval of Treasurer’s Report for General, Sanitary District #1 and Tax Collection Account. David Gollon made a motion to approve the Town of Dodgeville’s January 2021 Treasurer’s Report stating the following fund balances:

General Checking $ 28,750.23
Farmer’s Savings $ 740,871.13
Local Government Investment Pool $ 7,408.50
Farmer’s Savings Tax Account $ 126,861.39
Mound City Tax Account $1,001,485.13

Township Funds: $ 752,720.39
Tax Funds: $1,152,655.99

Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

David Gollon made a motion to approve Sanitary District #1 Treasurer’s Report as submitted stating the following fund balances:

Sanitary District #1 $14,196.07

Peter Vanderloo seconded the motion. Motion carried.

6) Bills to be approved. David Gollon made a motion to approve the February 2nd, 2021 vouchers in the amount of $18,191.37 and Sanitary District #1 vouchers in the amount of $5,675.60. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.

7) Town Roads/Equipment Report. Town Chairman, Curt Peterson presented information in regards to roads that would be put out to bids for sealcoating and discussed the purchasing of grader tires.

8) Clerk/Treasurer Report. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson reminded the Town Board that the Spring Primary Election will be held on February 16th and the tax collection season was complete as well as the audit.

9) Discussion & possible action re: Establishment of COVID-19 Policy. No action was taken.

10) Discussion & possible action re: Establishment of Computer Policy. Clerk/Treasurer Sara Olson presented a sample computer policy and Town Chairman, Curt Peterson requested that the Town Board members review the policy and bring forth ideas for the creation and establishment of a computer policy. No action was taken.

11) Closed Session in accordance with Wisconsin Statue 19.85 (1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, employee hours, compensation or performance evaluation of any public employee of which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. (Employment) David Gollon made a motion to go into Closed Session in accordance with Wisconsin Statue 19.85 (1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, employee hours, compensation or performance evaluation of any public employee of which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried. Roll call: Pope, yes; Peterson, yes; Levetzow, yes; and Gollon, yes.

12) Reconvene into Open Session. David Gollon made a motion to reconvene into open session. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.

13) Board action as a Result of Closed Session. See Item #14.

14) Discussion & possible action re: Fill-In Recycling Center Attendant. David Gollon made a motion to offer the Fill-In Recycling Center Attendant position to Aaron Fitzsimmons. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.

15) Adjournment. David Gollon made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:42 p.m. Kyle Levetzow seconded the motion. Motion carried.
